I miss my best mate. He was a Kelpie. I'm a 42-year-old male, it's been over 2 years and I still cry. A little embarrassing. He was the only person in my life who didn't let me down, was always happy to see me and greet me, unconditional love. He died of old age, he was nearly 17. I held his paw and watched him take his last breath, he knew he was dying, he held on longer than he had to, I know it. Even on his deathbed in pain, he didn't want to disappoint me. I'll never forget the look in his eye when he took his last breath, it still haunts me. I spent nearly two grand just to keep him alive for another couple of weeks. I should have just let him go when it was his time, I feel so guilty that I was so selfish, but like I said he was my best mate I couldn't accept he was dying. I live in the desert in Australia, the ground is like concrete. I spent hours digging him a grave with a crowbar and a shovel. To this day I still can't bare to visit his grave, I know ill breakdown, I just can't do it... He was the only dog I have had, and ill never get another one. I can't bare the thought of going through losing one again. I think animals have souls and I know he is in a good place. They don't call dogs man's best friend for nothing. This felt like a therapy session, I actually feel better... Miss ya Rusty, you're a good boy!

I find you craft great narratives and personally find it a bit disruptive to hear "we'll go deeper into that in the expansion" do often because it breaks up the flow too much. Could you maybe try creating whole episodes that have 3 or 4 chapters with the final chapters only available to expansion members? Then you could advertise the expansion at the start and end and between each chapter. The end advertise could be the teaser for the last chapters that are only in the expansion. What do you think?
